I don't get notification/activation account e-mails!
(First of all, check that you have written your e-mail address correctly)
Most people experience this problem with Hotmail. Check your junkmail bin. Sometimes they are redirected through the filter.
Update The newest versions of AOL have the "advanced SPAM blockers" and may make it impossible for Proboards to contact you.
AOL 9.0 has a Spam Folder in addition to the regular one, but anything lower than 9.0 doesn't. If you go to AOL Keyword Spam you can set your preferences for the Spam folder and if you go to AOL keyword Spam Folder it'll bring you to the Spam folder.
If this problem persist, you can either contact any admin to activate your account manually or create a temporary free e-mail (ie. hotmail.com)

How do I place my character's picture at the left of my posts?First you need to host the image you want to use in a image account. Here's a list of hosting websites: imageshack.usphotobucket.comwebpost.netimageuploading.comuploadit.orgripway.commyimgs.comOnce you have the image hosted, go to PROFILE > MODIFY PROFILE Then copy and paste your image's URL in the blank space labelled "Avatar URL" and adjust the widht and Height of it. After do that, just scroll down and press Modify profile. {Note: For whatever reason, PBv4 dosen't seem to like the %20 in your image URL, so your pictures won't come up.
If you've got your pictures in a file (or album, for photobucket users), make sure there isn't any space. Normally it would work fine, but with v4, it dosen't.
Check and make sure your image doesn't have a "space" in it. If it does, eliminate it and the problem should be resolved.}An option if you don't have (and don't want to have) an image account, e-mail me attaching the picture you want to use it and I will take care of put it in your profile.

Is there a way that when we respond to a topic we can get email notices?
You have to press the 'bookmark' button on the first post of the thread.
Then you need to go to your Profile, press bookmark button (There you will find a list of the threads you has bookmarked), press the button "manage bookmarks" and there you can set if you want to be notified and what kind of notification you would like to receive (email or PM).

How many characters can I have?
Students/Staff Characters
You are alowed to have as many students characters as you wish, but remember that each character has 7 required classes and when they hit third year they will have also electives. Each character should also be active in boards out side of classes.
If you have too many and it is obvious that you can not handle them, the admin has the right to ask you to dismiss some of them.
Professor Characters
At this time we are only allowing a person to have one professor character. After you start one and we feel you are doing good with that one you can request another.
It will then be up to the administration whether you get approved or not.

Can my character be a prefect?
As non students character have hit fifth year, you character can't be a prefect. But you (the RL person) can play the prefect account if you are active and willing to help.
Each term, the Heads of House have the right to choose prefects. This person doesn't have to be a house member, the only required is be some member to trust in and be active (Activity, means that the main character of the member is active).
There are four prefect accounts, one for each house, but each account represent all the prefects of that house (three girls, three boys). They haven't propper names (and won't have) as this account is temporary (the member playing prefect change each term).
If you want to be considered to play prefect, contact the Head of the House you want to be prefect.

Can my character be a Head of House?
The Head of House positions are not open.
This is a position based in confidence and I just ask a person to be a Head of House if I have faith and trust in him/her.
It is more than be active, be a Head of House also means Out of Character's duties and help me with the board.

Hard to answer, as there are houses that hardly have members in. We are still working on it. Any idea or suggestion is welcome.

How come the other house earned so many points? What about my house?
At the top of the main page you will find spheres with the color of each house, they show the HPs each house have earned. If you wan't to know more about house points, just click on each sphere and they will take you to the respective House Point list with details.
Any complain about House Points, contact your Head of House or the professor who should have gave/taken HPs from you.
